The UB, IAUNAM and UCM co-organize the The Milky Way Gaia school on “Milky Way size galaxy formation and high performance computing” that is taking place between Jan. 14-17 2020 in Barcelona.
The objective of the school and working group behind it is the exploitation of Gaia data in combination with other survey data to address some of the most important questions in the formation and evolution of our Galaxy. The school focus on the N-body and hydrodynamic simulations as key tools to undertake the structure, star formation history, and dynamical evolution of the Milky Way. Its goal is to provide a general view of the current state of the art and challenges in simulating the formation of Milky Way size galaxies. More info at: https://indico.icc.ub.edu/event/52/
