Begoña García-Conde Navarro, PhD student of the GUAIX group has won the second prize in the PhDay 2022 sessions that were held from 10 to 14 October at the UCM Physical Science Faculty.
Begoña García-Conde presented the research she is performing for her PhD thesis, entitled “Vertical Accelerations in Cosmological Simulations of Milky Way Sized Galaxies”.
Later, in the finalist phase of the competition, she gave a talk on this work she is carrying out.
Her thesis directors are Santi Roca, Teresa Antoja and María de los Ángeles Gómez Flechoso.
